My Laser Cut Wood Sign for Curio Cabin
I learned how to laser cut a wood sign using a Thunder Laser. The laser cutter is fantastic for DIYers who like me, kinda suck at detail oriented woodworking. I love that the machine does the precision work for me! This will take my maximalist decor to a whole new level! -
Applying and Painting Embossed Wallpaper
Fake Victorian Tiles: Applying Embossed Wallpaper to my Ceiling
I learned a lot about applying embossed wallpaper. Mainly, it is a bit trickier to apply than regular wallpaper. Secondly, it is MUCH easily to apply (on the ceiling at least) as a 3 person job!

This is a paintable wallpaper from Home Depot. Since this wallpaper is embossed, we had to paint the back of the wallpaper rather than soak it.

Moody Maximalist Bedroom with a Vaulted Ceiling
Layout for Vaulted Ceilings: Bedroom Makeover
I'm DIY re decorating my vaulted ceiling bedroom with a moody maximalism theme! I'm going for a dark moody vibe which combines Art Deco, Victorian meets Curio Cabinet museum. It's gonna be awesome!

What is Moody Maximalist Decor?
Moody Maximalist decor (sometimes called dark maximalism) is an aesthetic I've also enjoyed, even before I knew what the term meant. The aesthetic is dark, bold, mysterious and quirky.
In this blog series, I'm documenting my budget maximalist bedroom makeover and integrating my own needle felted projects as part of the decor.
